Vallejo Admirals Defeat San Rafael Pacifics 8-4

July 31 2014 The Vallejo Admirals defeated the San Rafael Pacifics 8-4 after collecting 13 hits and scoring in four innings. The Admirals overcame an early 2-0 deficit with one run in the second inning and a five-run third, then added two runs in the sixth. San Rafael scored twice in the seventh, but Vallejo held on for the win.

Nicholas Boggan led the Admirals with three hits in four at-bats and two RBI. Jordan Hinshaw went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Joe Lewis and Andrew Rubalcava each had two hits. Hinshaw also recorded a triple. Vallejo received additional RBI from Elvin Rodriguez and Brandon Williams.

San Rafael finished with nine hits. Maikel Jova went 2-for-3 with a walk, and R. Santana went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Chase Fontaine and Danny Gonzalez also drove in runs for the Pacifics, who stole three bases as a team, including one each by Zack Pace and Santana.

Andrew Brooks earned the win for Vallejo after allowing two runs on six hits in five innings with three walks and no strikeouts. J. Valdez worked the final two innings, allowing two unearned runs on three hits while striking out two. San Rafael starter Aaron Tullo took the loss, giving up six earned runs on eight hits in three innings. D. Mosquea pitched three innings and allowed two runs, both unearned.
