Welcome to the homepage of the Pecos Developmental League. The Pecos Developmental League is the official developmental league for the Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs.
The Pecos Developmental League is dedicated to the progression of future professional players.
With the Pecos League's expansion to 10 players the Pecos Developmental League was formed out of neccessity the supply players to the Pecos League during the regular season.
It is the best way for unsigned free agents or overlooked collegiate players to showcase themselves and get signed to a pro contract during the summer.
Two teams will play in the Pecos Developmental League in the inaugural season the Las Cruces Vaqueros and the Desert Valley Mountain Lions.
The Pecos Developmental League is an amateur league. The Bisbee Ironmen and New Mexico School of Baseball will also play games against the Pecos Developmental Teams.
Players will be called up and sent down from the Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs as needed.

The Pecos League has promoted 147 players to higher independent and affiliated teams from 2010-2013.
With so many players leaving it has left a need to create a source for players. Each Pecos League Team has 22 active players with ten teams that is 220 players. On Average each team promotes 6 players per year which is 60 players. With this many players being moved it is becoming very tough for teams to replace players.
Pecos Farm League Purpose:
To provide professional baseball players and top collegiate graduates a summer showcase instructional league to be able to compete for pro jobs.
To assess and select players to join the rosters of teams during the Pecos League Regular Season.
