The Trinidad Triggers escape the Raton Osos behind Waites 6 strikeouts 11-1

Benji Waite hopes every outing could go as well as Wednesday, as Waite struck out six batters to carry the Trinidad Triggers (29-19) to an 11-1 victory over the Raton Osos (7-41) at Gabriele Park.

The biggest inning for the Trinidad Triggers was the second. In the inning the Trinidad Triggers scored seven runs.

Frank Florio got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the second and eighth innings.

Despite the loss, the Raton Osos Nickolas Huff dominated the Trinidad Triggers batters, giving up one run and striking out seven.

Tim Sylvester (3-4) was the games losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked six and struck out three.

The Trinidad Triggers Sam DiMatteo, Wink Nolan and Florio combined for six hits and five RBIs.
