12/1/2010-As reported by Brian Argabright The Del Rio City Council Parks and Rec held a special hearing on Tuesday November 30 to come to a stadium usage agreement between Babe Ruth Baseball League and the Del Rio Aviators of the Pecos League. Terms were agreed for the months of May and June but Babe Ruth would not allow the Pro team to play in the month of July. This move would not allow the Aviators to play in the Pecos League. Ron Wrob plans to have a special session appeal on Thursday December 2, 2010. The Pecos League has mixed feelings on this team. League owner Andrew Dunn stated "I feel Del Rio was on the right track to be one of the pillars of the Pecos League, by playing in 2011 they would have paved the way for 2nd stadium in Del Rio. Alot of people questioned why the Pecos League would consider Del Rio, but the support was great" Other managers in Pecos League are relieved to hear Del Rio most likely won't be in Pecos League due to insufficiant outfield dimensions and extending travel times double of every of city. "All 4 New Mexico Managers agreed that Del Rio is not in our footprint". The Pecos League would like to thank Al Arreola Jr, Brian Argabright, Donna Langford and Ron Wrob for their efforts.
