5/5/2011-The Roswell Invaders played their first ever game in team history on May 4, 2011 at Cohen Park against the El Paso Diablos from the American Association. Clifton Thomas was their first ever hitter and Nick Shoup was their first ever pitcher. The Invaders won the game 10-7. The Invaders out hit and out pitched the Diablos. The Diablos had a very rough time with their pitchers. The Invaders broke the game open with a 5 run 2nd inning. Adrian Martinez from LA lead the way offensively catching the entire game. Troy Frazier had two hits. Brian Ramirez had a key bases loaded double. The entire Roswell team battled with every at bat. Nick Shoup started allowed one run. James Lapressi threw the 2nd inning allowing 4 runs. Mike McCravey pitched the third inning. Josh Grady pitched the 4th inning in dominant fashion. Evan Jauneux pitched the 5th inning. Brian Fowler pitched the 6th inning. Anthony Correra pitched the 7th inning. Brandon Godfrey started the 8th inning, Charles Williams pitched the back 1/2 of the 8th. Reed Brown closed the game for the Invaders. Brent Burger threw the 10th inning..The Invaders will play the first ever Pecos League Game against the Ruidoso Osos on May 10th in Ruidoso.
