In 2011 The Invaders were Pecos League Champions winning the attendence title, regular season and post season titles under manager Chris Paterson. The Invaders are looking to return to 2011 form and will begin the 2013 season exactly as they began the 2011 one. With the Exhibition Opener in El Paso against the El Paso Diablos. The Invaders will then begin the regular season hosting the Las Vegas Train Robbers for a 5 game series. This will be the Train Robbers first ever games. The Invaders then play two game home and home series with the White Sands Pupfish, Las Cruces Vaqueros and Pecos Bills.
The Invaders then go into June by hosting the Las Cruces Vaqueros for a 4 game series. The Invaders then host the Taos Blizzard for a three game series. The Invaders make their lone trip to the Tundra in Taos to play the Taos Blizzard a single game on Friday June 7th. The Invaders continue with four game road trips in Santa Fe and Trinidad. The Invaders return home to host the Las Cruces Vaqueros for four games and then host the Pecos Bills for two games. The Invaders goto Pecos for two games and while in Texas they will sweep down and play the Alpine Cowboys a four game series. Las Vegas and the Invaders will play a seven game series with the first four games in Roswell and the final three in Las Vegas.
The Invaders begin the month of July hosting Darrell Carrillo's New Mexico School of Baseball College Team in an exhibition game, before heading to Las Vegas to play the Train Robbers.
On July 6th several Invaders will participate in the All Star Game. After the All-Star Game the Invaders will host the Pecos Bills for two games in Roswell before going to Texas to play the Bills two games and Alpine Cowboys two games. The Invaders then host Alpine two games and host Las Cruces Two games before going to Las Cruces for two games. The Invaders finish the season by splitting two game series with Pecos and Alpine home and home with another four game trip to Texas playing each two twice.
"This schedule format is in the economic interest of the Pecos Bills and Roswell Invaders due their hotel situation. The oilfield is booming and hotel prices are out of control. Last year we had to move games out of Roswell and that won't be the case this year." says Pecos League Commissioner Andrew Dunn
The home and home two game format became standard for Roswell in 2011 with White Sands. In 2013 this saves 11 hotel nights for the Invaders which guarantees games won't be moved in July as they were in 2012. The addition of the Pecos Bills makes this format possible. Pecos is only 162 miles away from Roswell directly on Highway 285.
