Yermin Mercedes selected in the Rule 5 Draft

Yermin Mercedes has been selected in the 2017
Rule 5 Draft. He was selected in the AAA
portion of the draft as has been assigned to
the Charlotte Knights but will possibly compete
for a positon on the opening day MLB roster
with the White Sox.
In 2014 Yermin had one of the best ever
offensive seasons with the White Sands Pupfish
before being signed by the Baltimore Orioles.
He has continued to be one of the best hitters
in their system and thus drew enough interest
to be selected in their rule 5 draft.
