1/3/2018-The Pecos League will realign the league into three divisions of four teams for the 2018 season. With the Ruidoso Osos replacing the Hollywood Stars division realignment became necessary. Tucson will move back into the Southern Division as they played in the 2016 season.

The Mountain Division will consist of the Santa Fe Fuego, Trinidad Triggers, Garden City Wind and Alpine Cowboys.

The Southern Division will consist of the Tucson Saguaros, Ruidoso Osos, White Sands Pupfish and Roswell Invaders. Three of the teams in the Mountain Division are within 100 miles of each other preventing overnight hotel stays and allowing for home and home series.

The Pacific Division will consist of the Monterey Amberjacks, California City Whiptails, High Desert Yardbirds, and Bakersfield Train Robbers. Three of the teams in Pacific Division are within 100 miles of each other preventing overnight hotel stays and allowing for home and home series.

The Playoff format will consist of six teams qualifying for the playoffs with the three division winners and the next three teams with highest records regardless of division. In regular season play the Pacific Division Teams will never play the Mountain Division teams due to distance. The Mountain Division will not play the Pacific Division in the first round of the playoffs as well.

Tucson and Ruidoso will play regular season games against Pacific Division Teams as well as Southern Division Teams. Roswell and White Sands will play Mountain Division Teams.

All Traditional Pecos League rivals will continue to play each other on a regular basis. (Roswell vs. Alpine, Trinidad vs. Santa Fe, White Sands vs. Roswell, White Sands vs. Alpine). From 2013-2017 the Pecos League had two divisions
