Brett Kennedy from Alpine was named pitcher of the year for the 2012 season in the Pecos League.
Brett went 6-2 with a 2.47 ERA. He had 73 innings pitched with 69 strikeouts and only 18 walks.
He maintained a WHIP of 0.98 despite pitching in the most hitter friendly league in the nation.
He lead Alpine's pitching staff which was the best in the Pecos League. He is from Valdosta State in Georgia and will be moving to a higher league at the conclusion of the Pecos League season.
