The Galveston Sea Lions are baseball team that were created and managed by JD Droddy in 2013. The Pecos Spring League expanded to four teams playing internal games only. The Pecos League had bought the Desert Valley Mountain Lion Jerseys from the Continental League when the Continental League folded. The colors were grey and teal which left limited options. The team was named the Galveston Sea Lions and the team adopted Seattle Mariners colors.
Every year the team has worn different hats.
- In 2017 the team wore Bisbee Blue Menace hats.
- In 2016 the team wore Florida Marlins hats.
- In 2015 the team wore Bisbee Blue Menace hats
- In 2014 the team wore San Jose Shark Team hats.
- In 2013 the team wore Seattle Mariners hats.
The Lions best ever year was 2014 when they went 6-4-1.
