1/16/2017-The Garden City Wind will host the Pecos League's first Exhibition Game of the 2017 season when they host the Lincoln Saltdogs of the American Association on May 17, 2016 at Dean Evans Stadium in Salina, Kansas.

The Saltdogs will open their regular season in Kansas City on May 19th. The Wind will begin their regular season May 25th in Garden City. Salina is halfway between the two cities.

This will be the first time since 2011 that a Pecos League Team will host an American Association Team. The Las Cruces Vaqueros hosted the El Paso Diablos on May 9, 2011.

The Pecos League has played numerous Spring Training Games against the American Association since then (Joplin, Amarillo, El Paso, Wichita)
