The Alpine Cowboys top the Trinidad Triggers behind Henriksens 3 hits 11-5

Saturday was a great day for Matt Henriksen, as he hit two home runs to carry the Alpine Cowboys (25-23) to an 11-5 victory over the Trinidad Triggers (26-21) at Central Park in eight innings.

The Alpine Cowboys blew out the Trinidad Triggers thanks to 15 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Alpine Cowboys scored three runs in the sixth on the Alpine Cowboys scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Eric Ferguson and a two-run single by JJ Graham.

Edmund Cheatham was solid at the plate for the Trinidad Triggers. Cheatham went 2-4 and scored two runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Kevin Klaess got the win, running his season record to 3-3. He allowed three runs over four innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered four hits.

Daniel Karasinski (4-4) was the games losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked one and struck out three.

The Alpine Cowboys Henriksen, Ferguson, Graham and Reagan Rutledge combined for 11 hits and 11 RBIs.
