1/27/2011-All 4 of the Pecos League New Mexico Ballparks are facing major seating changes as the season begins to approach.
  • The Las Cruces Vaqueros have the biggest change with their 1960's racetrack grandstand being no longer structural sound for spectators, the Vaqueros and the three Las Cruces High Schools will be forced to have limited home plate seating. The City of Las Cruces is bringing in seating along the right field and left field lines
  • The White Sands Pupfish Griggs Ballpark continues to progress nicely. Grass will be planted in the next several weeks and the outfield fence is close to being installed. Griggs got a complete surface facelift.
  • The Eastern New Mexico Fairgrounds Ballpark is getting upgraded VIP Seating behind homeplate and the surface area is getting ready for Roswell High Schools games this Spring.
  • Whites Mountain Park in Ruidoso currently has a backstop that is 60 feet from homeplate, plans are to move the backstop in and give the spectators a more captive audience.
