The Tucson Saguaros outlast the White Sands Pupfish in high-scoring affair 14-12


Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Tucson Saguaros (5-0) and the White Sands Pupfish (2-3), as the two teams put up 26 runs combined in a 14-12 the Tucson Saguaros win.

The teams totaled 29 hits in the game.

Ryan Retz racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Tucson Saguaros. He singled in the third innings and homered in the fifth inning.

Even though Roby Romero allowed seven runs over four innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Anthony Pastrana ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 12 runs in five innings, walked one and struck out seven.
