2/25/2016-The Las Cruces Vaqueros will not play in the Pecos League in the 2016 Season. Apdooca Park received structural damage to their netting and poles during a recent snowstorm. The Park is not currently open for fans to watch games. It is unknown if the park would be ready in time for the 2016 season. The weight of the snow on the netting cracked support poles leaving the facility unsafe for spectators.

The Pecos League will play with the following ten teams.

Kansas-Topeka Train Robbers, Salina Stockade, Great Bend Boom and Garden City Wind
New Mexico-Santa Fe Fuego, Roswell Invaders and White Sands Pupfish
Arizona-Tucson Saguaros
Colorado-Trinidad Triggers
Texas-Alpine Cowboys

There will be some baseball in Las Cruces as The Pecos League will play two neutral site games at New Mexico State.
  • Alpine and White Sands June 5th
  • Roswell and White Sands on June 15
The Pecos League will look towards toward 2017 to bring the Vaqueros back to Las Cruces.
