An exceptional effort by Daniel Aldrich led the Alpine Cowboys (32-21) to a 23-5 win in seven innings over the Las Cruces Vaqueros (15-38) on Monday at Apodoca Park.
Aldrich racked up six RBIs on four hits for the Alpine Cowboys. He doubled in the first inning, tripled in the third inning, singled in the sixth inning, and homered in the seventh inning.
The Alpine Cowboys didnt let up, as they kept racking up runs until the end. The Alpine Cowboys scored three runs in the last one innings to finish off the blowout win. Kellen Quintana was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.
The Alpine Cowboys hammered the Las Cruces Vaqueros pitching as eight hitters had a field day, combining for 24 hits, 19 RBIs and 21 runs scored.
