The Roswell Invaders drop the White Sands Pupfish 6-2 behind Martinis early two-run blast

Four first-inning runs helped the Roswell Invaders (2-5) to a 6-2 win over the White Sands Pupfish (6-1) at Griggs Park on Wednesday.

It was a good day at the plate for the Roswell Invaders Michael Morris. Morris went 3-5 and scored one run. He singled in the first, third, and eighth innings.

Ryan Davis picked up the win for the Roswell Invaders. Davis allowed two earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out five over nine innings of work.

Shamil Ubiera was hot from the plate for the White Sands Pupfish. Ubiera went 2-3 and scored one run. He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Derek Meyer ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.
