11/10/2011-The big city council election in Santa Fe wasn't the only vote going on in Santa Fe. The Pecos League managers voted on the DH and the vote was 6-0 in favor of having a DH in entire season.
In the 2011 the Pecos League did not have a DH for the first half of the season. It was complicated in the Pointstreak scoring system and caused a huge range of inaccurate stats. The National Rules were popular via fans and made managing a real challenge but the Pecos League was the only independent league to go with no DH.
