7/17/2014-Erik Kozel is 2014 Pecos League MVP. Erik Kozel is the leadoff hitter and starting catcher for the Santa Fe Fuego. Erik has hit .416 in the hitter friendly Fort Marcy Park and been the Fuego's everyday catcher. For the first time in team history the Fuego will make the Pecos League Playoffs. Erik has set the all time Pecos League Record of being hit by pitch. He was hit four times in a game twice this season.
