8/15/2021-Pecos League Finals preview

Roswell Invaders at Tucson Saguaros begins Tuesday Night in Tucson. Two historic Pecos League Powers meet in Arizona for the Pecos League Championship. Roswell is the only three time Pecos League Champion winning in 2011, 2013 and 2015. The Invaders lost the Championship Series to High Desert in 2017. As for Tucson the Saguaros have won Pecos League Championships in 2016 under JD Droddy and 2020 in Houston under Sean McNeill.



The Roswell Invaders and the Tucson Saguaros are both in the Mountain Division South. The two teams went 8-8 against each other and had two games rained out that werent made up. Tucson went 5-1 against the Invaders in June. Roswell won the last four games of the season when Tucson had already secured the #1 seed in the division.

"Roswell is the hotter team and Lance Myers has done a phenomenal job. When we beat them two games in late July they looked like a dead team. For them to even get in the playoffs they are the hotter team.



Down the stretch Alpine, Roswell and Santa were playing defacto playoff games the last two weeks of the season. Tucson had the playoffs clinched with three weeks to go. However they did beat Bakersfield in the first round."
