The Longest Game Ever!
Ruidoso Osos 18 Roswell Invaders 17-
On June 18th the Ruidoso Osos hosted the Roswell Invaders, the game ended at 17-17 in a tie due to darkness. The game was supposed to resumed on August 1, but rain stopped the efforts. The game finally ended when in the 12th inning Eddie Brown had a bloop hit that fell in for the winner. This game feature tons of milestones and amazing stats.
- Clifton Thomas was 4 for 7
- Drew Peterson was 6 for 8
- Case Rigby was 6 for 7
- Jerome Dunning was 4 for 6
- Roswell starter Yochii Machida game up 8 runs on 7 hits in 2/3 of an inning
- Game lasted 1-1/2 months
- Both teams used 19 players
- The league changed the DH rule in the months between the game
