The Houston Apollos make the most of 2 hits in 2-1 victory over the Galveston Sea Lions

The Houston Apollos (10-0) and the Galveston Sea Lions (6-4) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Houston Apollos that eventually took advantage of them in a 2-1 win at Christy Park.

edison alvarez had an impressive outing against the Galveston Sea Lions lineup. Alvarez held the Galveston Sea Lions hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.

adam barry had a hot bat for the Galveston Sea Lions. Barry went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.

Justin Thompson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Thompson struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Scott Elitzky couldnt get it done on the rubber for the Galveston Sea Lions, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
