The coastal kingfish offense too much for the Garden of Gears in 9-1 rout

The coastal kingfish (1-4) jumped out to an early lead on the Garden of Gears (1-4) and captured a 9-1 victory on Thursday at Christy Park.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed the coastal kingfish to put the game away early. A two-run single by kasey lewendoski and a sacrifice fly by Jake Simpson during the first inning helped the coastal kingfish put some runs on the board early.

Simpson got a hit in each of his two at bats.

stephen wisser pitched lights out for the coastal kingfish. The Garden of Gears managed just one hit off of wisser, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out five during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

The Garden of Gears were led by lane warners hitting. Warner went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.

ian arsenault couldnt get it done on the hill for the Garden of Gears, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

The coastal kingfish were sparked by Simpson and zac kreeger, who teamed up for five hits and five RBIs.
