3/9/2019-Effective for the 2020 season the Pecos League no longer accepts players that train with Torre Baseball Training or Joe Torres Program. Joe Torre is not the former manager of the Yankees, he is a person who contacts players and tells them to train with them and he will put them in front of MLB Coaches. Joe is not the former manager of the Yankees, Joe is a person who is strictly in business to make money off of the players. Joe is in the business of charging players money in attempts for training to get them signed with higher level teams. Joe doesnt pay players despite claiming to be a professional league. Joe charges players for housing and all game expenses.

Joe is a very bad representation for Independent Baseball and recently several players have detailed his process and his camp. His players will no longer be welcome in the Pecos League. There are many other leagues Joe can send them to. It is in the best interest of the player to put a stop to Joe and his antics. We have six or seven different scouts in Florida that are sending players to us on a daily basis.

"Joe has a level of unprofessionalism I have never seen at any level. Joe is one of the most disrespectful people I have ever talked to. He has all the answers regardless of the questions. Joe is in this for one reason, money for his pocket. He posts Video Rants on social media and it is a one way street with Joe, he charges the players money and has zero expense in his operation. He targets Pecos League players because he sells them on the dream of getting promoted. The truth is they have no better chance of getting promoted anywhere dealing with him and they will be out alot of time and money. The players I have talked to are very upset. I talked to him one time and he started to tell me he knew everything about the game of baseball and I should take all of this players. The Truth is the players that are getting signed and promoted will do with or without Joes services. " says Trinidad Triggers Manager Matt Chambers

He calls players and solicits them to join his service in Florida. He also tries to get players to refer other players to his program.

The Players who train with Joe Torre will not be welcome to play in the Pecos League effective 2020 season forward. The Pecos League has many off season training programs in which they work with and encourage players to train and play for reputable organizations. They are eligible to play with any of the teams Joe claims he has affliations with.
