June 7 2019 The Trinidad Triggers held off the Roswell Invaders 6-5 in a game that featured 15 combined runs and 15 hits. Trinidad finished with eight hits and one error while Roswell collected seven hits and committed two errors.
Trinidad built an early 3-1 lead with one run in the first inning and two more in the second. Roswell answered with a run in the third and two in the fourth, but the Triggers regained control with a three-run fifth inning. Roswell narrowed the gap with two runs in the eighth, but Trinidad kept the lead for the victory.
Tim Henry led Trinidad with one hit two RBI and two walks. Jonathan Bigley went 2-for-5, while Matt Eureste, Jakob Shuler, Abel Arocho, Alejandro Diaz and Calvin Luk each added a hit. Eureste also scored a run and recorded a double. Trinidad's five RBI came from Henry with two and one each from B. Garcia Kyle Rodriguez and Luk.
Calvin Luk earned the win after allowing three runs on six hits in five innings with three walks and four strikeouts. Ronald Gutierrez followed with 2.2 innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on one hit while striking out three. David Gates completed the game with a scoreless ninth inning and earned the save. Roswell's Chauncey Nunez took the loss after surrendering six runs in 4.1 innings.
