3/31/2018-Edison Alvarez will serve as field manager for the Monterey Amberjacks. Edison has pitched in Three Rivers (Trois Riveres) in the Can Am League since 2015. He won the Can Am League/American Association All Star Game in 2016.

Edison was originally signed by the Minnesota Twins from the Dominican Republic. He signed with the Las Vegas Train Robbers and played three weeks with the Douglas Diablos before heading to Three Rivers. He was one of the key members of Three Rivers Championship Team.

The Amberjacks begin Spring Training on May 16 and open the regular season for the 2nd season in a row in Bakersfield against the Train Robbers.
