The Wind's Jason Rooks scored the game's first run on a Tobie Teke infield grounder in the fourth but Ryan Lutinski's RBI single in the sixth knotted the score for the 80s. Will Hahnfeld and three relievers combined on a five-hitter for the Wind while North Platte's Mike Nestor and Eddie Kafton gave up four safeties. By sweeping the Mountain North title playoff series in two games, Garden City will now host Tucson for the Mountain Division championship.
