Veteran hurler Alex Valasek took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and carried a shutout into the eighth as San Rafael went on to top Dublin, 9-3, Friday at Albert Park. Valasek ended up allowing two runs on four hits over 7.1 frames to earn the win. Ari Buckson crashed two homers and Chris Wright added a longball for the Pacifics, who advance to next weeks Pecos League Championship Series. Sam Ott sliced a two-run single in the eighth for the Leprechauns, whose starting pitcher Brock Theriot took the loss after letting in eight runs in seven innings.
