Joe Barrons and Gustavo Rivera lead the North Platte 80s over the Blackwell FlyCatchers 20-10

7/30/2025-Trailing Blackwell 4-0 going into the bottom of the fourth, North Platte posted five runs that inning and a resounding 11 counters in the fifth en route to a 20-9 home win Wednesday their playoff opener at Bill Wood Field. Rico Riley's grand slam highlighted the pivotal fifth, which saw the 80's send 15 batters to the plate against four Flycatcher pitchers. Ian Santos also clubbed a three-run homer for North Platte as starting pitcher Joe Barrons got the win. Mark Davis had three of Blackwell's 10 hits while Rey Lozano singled twice and scored three runs.

Dominic Scotti got the loss for the Blackwell FlyCatchers.

For the North Platte 80s, Gustavo Rivera lead the way at the plate going 0-1.

Sean Bennett also helped the ballclub at the plate going 1-3.
