Pacifics Blank Amberjacks 5-0

July 20 2025 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Monterey Amberjacks 5-0 at Sollectio Park, scoring all five of their runs across the third through seventh innings. San Rafael outhit Monterey 11-2 and overcame one error while the Amberjacks committed two. Kyle Guerra led the Pacifics with three hits in five at-bats and drove in a run. Aki Buckson went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, while Chris Wright and pinch-hitter Keith Whitaker each added an RBI. John Bicos, Mark Hernandez, Payton Rios, Jorge Rios and Jared Greer also recorded hits for San Rafael. San Rafael broke through with two runs in the third inning, added one in the fourth and one in the sixth before completing the scoring in the seventh. Monterey was held scoreless throughout and managed just two hits, one each from Luis Medina and Alex Elliott. Jared Greer earned the win after allowing two hits and four walks with three strikeouts over six scoreless innings. Richard Kiel completed the shutout with three scoreless innings, allowing no hits, issuing one walk and striking out five to earn the save. Greg Salazar took the loss for Monterey after allowing five runs on 11 hits with two walks and seven strikeouts in a complete game.
