Salina Stockade Defeat Alpine Cowboys 13-5

July 5 2021 The Salina Stockade defeated the Alpine Cowboys 13-5 after building an early lead and pulling away late. Salina scored in each of the first three innings, added three runs in the sixth and four in the seventh, finishing with 18 hits. Alpine collected four hits and scored all five of its runs in the fourth inning.

Brenden Spaulding led Salina with four hits in five at-bats, three runs and three RBIs. Collins Robinson added three hits and four RBIs, while Jake Urena had three hits and scored twice. Jordan Anderson and Enrique Batista each had two hits, and Salina also received doubles from Peter Pena, Spaulding and Robinson, who had two doubles.

Robinson earned the win after allowing three hits and five runs in five innings, striking out six and walking five. Jesse Bolt worked two scoreless innings with one hit allowed and one strikeout. Ridge Walker took the loss for Alpine, surrendering seven hits and six runs in 2 1/3 innings. Calvin Graves and Bryce Donovan each drove in two runs for the Cowboys, who committed four errors in the game.
