Santa Fe Fuego Rally Past Salina Stockade 7-6

June 9 2021 The Santa Fe Fuego rallied past the Salina Stockade 7-6 at Fort Marcy Park. Santa Fe finished with 12 hits and no errors while Salina collected 11 hits and committed three errors.

Salina scored twice in the first inning and added two runs in the fifth to take a 5-2 lead. Santa Fe chipped away with single runs in the second third fourth and sixth before taking the lead with a three-run eighth inning. Salina scored once in the eighth and once in the ninth to tie the game at six but the Fuego scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth.

Brian Sanchez led Salina with a 4-for-4 performance and one RBI. Jake Urena went 2-for-5 with two doubles and two runs while Jordan Anderson went 2-for-5 with a home run two runs and two RBIs. Santa Fes Ryan Bernardy went 2-for-4 with two runs and a walk. Parker DePasquale Manny Cachora and Philip Buckingham each had two hits with DePasquale Cachora and Buckingham driving in one run apiece.

August Voight earned the win for Santa Fe after allowing two hits and one run while striking out six in two innings. Troy Moen worked five innings and allowed six hits and four runs with five strikeouts while Luke Poselovic gave up one run in two innings. Salinas Jonathan Osario took the loss after surrendering six hits and four runs three earned in three innings.
