High Desert took a 2-1 lead after the first inning, but the Yardbirds were held scoreless the rest of the way. Bakersfield broke through with its decisive four-run seventh and completed the scoring in the 5-2 victory.
Nyles Nygaard and Nate Etheridge each collected two hits for Bakersfield. Etheridge scored twice and drove in one run, while Nygaard scored once and added an RBI. Deandre Smith contributed a two-RBI performance, and Andres Rios also recorded two hits. For High Desert, Slayton Vaughan and Danny Kerr each drove in a run.
Reid Feeley earned the win after allowing five hits and two runs over seven innings, with one earned run and 10 strikeouts. S. Valenzuela worked a scoreless eighth with two strikeouts, and Edilson Alvarez recorded the save with a scoreless ninth. Jacob Rosales took the loss for High Desert after surrendering 10 hits and five runs over 6 2/3 innings.
